A 1-month-old child is in the intensive care unit after the child’s mother accidentally used vodka to mix baby formula.
The mother told police that she thought the bottle was filled with water, according to Fox 6. The baby’s father allegedly poured out the water and refilled the container with vodka.
The child consumed the formula, and registered a blood alcohol content level of .294, according to police. The child was taken to an area hospital. The child’s condition is unknown.
According to Fox 6, the child’s father was arrested on charges related to an argument with the mother. Police did not indicate whether additional charges were being considered.
