"I learned that life is filled with ups and downs and it's just about how you react to them," the actress told Us Weekly Dec. 11. "You can get down on yourself and just be like, 'Oh, the world's ending,' and just, you know, really be hard on yourself, or you can say, 'I'm not the first and I won't be the last, this happens to people,' you know, ups and downs, and you just gotta keep pushing forward. I proved to myself that I can overcome a lot of things that probably would have broken some people."
Throughout their separation, La La Anthony said they were not divorcing, but she wouldn’t say they were back together either. They married in 2010.
“You know, marriages are tough, and you know that. We all know that. It’s filled with ups and downs. We are just going through a time right now,” she said on a June 2017 appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show.”
“Him and I are the best of friends, and our No. 1 commitment is to our son, Kiyan, and we have to set an example for Kiyan, and that’s what’s most important to me,” she said.
The couple has not publicly confirmed they are back together.
