A Randolph County sheriff’s deputy was shot during a standoff with a suspect Saturday.
The suspect took a hostage, according to Alabama.com. The suspect was shot and killed. The hostage is OK, according to Alabama.com.

The deputy was taken to UAB Hospital, according to Alabama.com.
The suspect is in a camper with his wife holding police off, according to Clay County Web. He is armed with a 9mm handgun and a rifle.
The suspect allegedly set fire to his son’s house, yard and car, according to Clay County Web. The suspect also killed his son’s dog.
