On Oct. 12, 1896, a Category 1 hurricane passed near Boston. To honor the date, the National Weather Service sent a tweet asking for people to share their personal memories of the storm.

The only problem is that the oldest living person in the world is 117 years old -- four years too young to have been alive for the storm.

As expected, NWS got roasted in the replies. Some sent photos, others responded with their (invented) memories. One user even talked about flying his drone during the storm.

It's unclear of the tweet asking for stories was intentionally funny or an accidental oversight, but they NWS is having fun with it either way.
