Campaign sign declares 'everybody sucks'

In the midst of a major election year, campaign signs appear in yards across neighborhoods and in front of businesses.

Most have the names of presidential candidates, but not the one in front of Debbie Butler's  Kansas City, Missouri, home.

The sign reads, "Everybody sucks 2016." Below that message, it says, "The U.S. is doomed."

Butler said she and her husband, an Army veteran, first got the sign as a joke.

"It's just fun," Butler told KSHB Thursday. "We just thought it was funny when we saw it, so we bought it and put it in the front yard."

Others are amused by the sign too.

"It gets a lot of car honks," she said. "It gets people stopping and saying, 'We love your sign.' People slow down and take pictures of our sign."

The sign comes from a website that sells products with the message on bumper stickers, shirts and magnets in addition to a yard sign.
