Bernie Sanders blasts Donald Trump while live tweeting RNC speech

Sen. Bernie Sanders slammed Donald Trump on Twitter Thursday while live tweeting the GOP presidential nominee's speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

For about an hour, Sanders responded to Trump on social media using the hashtag #RNCwithBernie.

"Nobody knows the system better than me, which is why I alone can fix it," Trump told the crowd gathered in Cleveland. "I have seen firsthand how the system is rigged against our citizens, just like it was rigged against Bernie Sanders – he never had a chance."

Trump went on to say Sanders' supporters would flock to him because of his intention to "fix" trade.

"Millions of Democrats will join our movement because we are going to fix the system so it works for all Americans," he said.

Sanders immediately shot back, calling Trump a "hypocrite" and saying that his voters would never support Trump.

"Those who voted for me will not support Trump, who has made bigotry and divisiveness the cornerstone of his campaign," Sanders wrote. "We believe in bringing people together, not dividing them up."
