Louis Vuitton to open first Southwest Ohio store

Southwest Ohio will get its first Louis Vuitton store this fall.

A $250,000 renovation will result in the nearly 3,900-square-foot French luxury store at the Kenwood Towne Centre in Cincinnati, according to Hamilton County records.

The only other Louis Vuitton store in Ohio is at the Easton Town Center in Columbus. Otherwise, the closest places shoppers can find Louis Vuitton products is within Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Cleveland.

The store will open in a wing of Kenwood Towne Centre where other luxury brands will be located, including Tiffany & Co., Vera Bradley and Nordstrom.

Louis Vuitton, founded in 1854, is the 15th most valuable brand at $33.6 billion, according to Forbes. There were more than 460 stores and 19,000 employees worldwide last year, according to Business of Fashion, a style publication based in London.
