RECALL ROUNDUP: What consumer items were recalled this week?

Children’s jeans, ointment, and a garbage disposal switch are among the new recalls announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Cat & Jack Girls’ Star Studded Skinny Jeans

Cat & Jack Girls’ star studded skinny jeans are under recall because of five reports of children being cut by the metal stars.

They were sold at Target stores and at target.com and were made by Topson Downs. The hangtag will have a number from 25-03-1377 to 205-03-1392 at the top.

Don’t let your child wear the jeans and return them to Target for a full refund. Call 800-440-0680 for more information.

Bacitraycin Plus Ointment with Lidocaine

Bacitraycin Plus ointment with Lidocaine tubes are being recalled because the packaging is not child resistant.

The maximum strength ointment distributed by First Aid Research was sold at Kroger, Walgreens, and other retailers from January 2014 through November 2017.

No one has been hurt but keep the tubes out of reach of children and contact United Exchange at 888-645-8204 for a full refund.

InSinkErator SinkTop Switch

The InSinkErator SinkTop switch for garbage disposals is under recall for being a fire hazard.

There are 40 reports of overheating due to water damaging the power module and outlet, but no injuries.

They were manufactured by Tecmark in Mentor, Ohio.

Stop using the switch and contact InSinkErator for a free replacement at 855-215-5695.

Goodman, Amana, and Diakin brand Modular Blowers

Modular blowers under the brand names Goodman, Amana, and Daikin are under recall because an incorrect label could lead to improper installation and a fire.

The recalled products have model numbers beginning MBR1200AA, MBR1600AA, MBVC1600AA and MBVC2000AA, and serial numbers beginning 1704, 1705 and 1708, and some of them may not have a brand name listed, according to the CPSC.

No incidents have been reported, but stop using the blowers and contact Goodman at 844-633-4295 for a free inspection, new instructions, and reinstallation, if necessary.

Woodstream Mosquito Magnet Traps

Mosquito Magnet traps by Woodstream are being recalled because they could break apart and cause injury.

The units could become damaged during cleaning with Quick Clear Cartridge kits, one incident of this has been reported, but no one was hurt.
