Cloudy overnight, showers, chance for strong winds return this weekend

A Flood Warning is in effect until 12:30 p.m. Friday for the Mississinewa River in Randolph County, Indiana. Flooding is expected to affect agricultural land and possibly some roads that are low and close to the river. Motorists are reminded to never drive into flood water.

Overnight: It will be mostly cloudy but quiet overnight, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s.

Friday: It will be a dry and quiet morning with sunshine in the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40s. Clouds will increase at night.

Saturday: Showers become widespread during the afternoon and evening as another storm system moves in. Winds will gust between 25 and 35 mph heading into the evening. It'll be much warmer with highs in the upper 50s. Showers and some rumbles of thunder are possible into the night. There also could be some minor flooding as rain falls heavy.

Sunday: It will be mostly cloudy with a stray sprinkle or flurry possible. Wind gusts up to 45 mph are possible. Highs will be in the upper 40s in the morning and will drop through the day.

Monday: It will be partly sunny, breezy and dry to start the workweek. Highs reach the upper 30s.

Tuesday: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures will reach the mid-40s.
