The updated trailhead, located at 3200 Springfield-Xenia Road, will feature a number of new amenities, including a dedicated bathroom, a bike fix-it station, a picnic area and mock train for children. A $66,000 grant was provided by NatureWorks to pay for party of the upgrades for the area.

Carol Kennard, executive director of the Clark County Park District, said the portion of the trail around Beatty Station is popular with bikers.

“That section of the bike trail gets a lot of use,” she said. “People use it as a starting and stopping point so we wanted to upgrade it.”
