Tickets will be available March 2.
Performing Arts Center executive director Adele Adkins was excited to land Bolton for the special occasion.
“(Bolton) was particularly interesting because he has had a big resurgence in the last couple of years with this particular show he does with symphony,” she said. “All that put together said ‘GALA!’ It is like putting pieces of a puzzle together. The pieces are the right name, a mutual date that works and the finances.”

Bolton’s career began as a rocker and he later turned to pop music, scoring number one hits with “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You,” which he also wrote, and his cover of “When a Man Loves a Woman.” He’s mixed covers and originals in a variety of genres over his career.
He’s also had two number-one albums and several top-10 hits and albums.
Bolton will come with his own conductor, who will rehearse with select members of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra the afternoon before the show, which adds a special local touch to the concert.
Tickets for the concert will range from $40 to $105 according to Adkins.
