Springfield police cruisers and a police Emergency Response Team, using a large black military-style vehicle, have been brought to the scene. It's in the front yard, according to the caller.

A caller tells us his daughter and he have heard police on bullhorns or some other voice amplification device imploring a man to leave the residence.

The caller estimates that police have been at the house at least 20 to 25 minutes.

The caller also said the street has been blocked off to traffic.

We're headed to the scene and we'll update this report as we get information.
