Pedestrian in hospital after being hit by vehicle in Springfield

One person was taken to the hospital after reportedly being hit by a vehicle at 11:49 p.m. in the 300 block of West Pleasant Street in Springfield.

According to Springfield dispatch records the male was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, but was going to be transported to Miami Valley Hospital.

In scanner traffic we heard medics ask CareFlight to be on standby, and dispatchers said that this may have been to transport the victim from Springfield Regional Medical Center to Miami Valley Hospital.
