One arrest made in OVI checkpoint in Logan County

UPDATE @ 10:15 p.m. (Sept. 17):

100 vehicles passed through the OVI checkpoint located on S. Main Street in Bellefountaine, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. This resulted in one arrest of an impaired driver.

FIRST REPORT (Sept. 15):

An OVI checkpoint will be conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Russells Point and Washington Township Police Departments and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks and Watercraft, tonight through Sunday morning in Logan County.

The sobriety checkpoint will be conducted beginning at 7:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. on State Route 366 in the Village of Russells Point.

An additional checkpoint will be conducted beginning at 10:00 p.m. through 12:00 a.m. Sunday on S. Main St. in Bellefontaine.
