Man fell asleep at the wheel in U.S. 68 in Clark County crash

A Cincinnati area man fell asleep at the wheel before a rollover crash on U.S. 68 in Clark County.

The man was getting off Interstate 70 when he fell asleep, lost control of his sport-utility vehicle and hit a median, flipping the vehicle, authorities said.

People at the scene pulled him out the SUV.

A CareFlight medical helicopter took him to an area hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

INITIAL REPORT:

A CareFlight medical helicopter has been requested to a reported rollover crash on U.S. 68 just south of Interstate 70 in Clark County.

The crash was first reported around 12:30 p.m. Friday in the southbound lanes of U.S. 68, according to initial reports.

U.S. 68 south is shut down for the crash just south of I-70. Crews have also been requested to shut down the I-70 east ramp to U.S. 68 south.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.
