1 injured in Clark County school bus-car crash on U.S. 40 in Harmony Twp.

UPDATE @ 4:33 p.m.: The bus driver involved in a school bus collision on U.S. 40 at I-70 has been taken to a hospital to be evaluated for a non-life threatening injury, according to the state patrol.

There were two students on the bus. They were not injured.

The driver of the car that involved in the accident was not injured. That driver has been cited for failure to stop.

According to the state patrol, the accident occurred when that driver did not stop when approaching the entrance ramp to U.S. 40.

The roadway remains closed until further notice.

INITIAL REPORT

A Northeastern Local Schools District bus has been involved in a two-vehicle crash involving a small car at east U.S. 40 and I-70 in Harmony Twp., Clark County.

There is an unconfirmed report that the bus driver and as many as two students have been taken to hospitals from the crash, which was dispatched just after 3:30 p.m.

Eastbound U.S. 40 is closed, as is the exit from I-70 to westbound U.S. 40, until further notice.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Clark County sheriff's deputies are on scene. Harmony Twp. fire crew is there as well.
