Looking for a cheap way to go to Clark County Fair? Here’s some tips

Multiple promotional days and deals will be offered for the 2016 Clark County Fair in Springfield.

These days provide people in the community the opportunity to enter the fair and receive ride passes or other rewards at reduced costs.

Saturday is the official opening day of the fair. The fair recognizes this day as Veteran’s Day and all veterans are admitted free, with military identification. This day is sponsored by the McRay Co.

Monday will be the Second Harvest Food Drive Day. Bring three canned goods, preferably protein, and admission will be $3. This day is sponsored by Reliant Restoration.

Wednesday is Kid’s Day. On this day all children ages 14 and younger are admitted to the fair for free and an all-day ride wristband will be $12. Kid’s day is sponsored by Ameriprize and Peter Foreman and in memory of Joan Foreman.

Friday, July 29, is $3 ‘Til Three day. On this day the gates will be open until 3 p.m. for $3 admission charge. After 3 p.m., regular admission will be charged. This day is sponsored by Springfield Buick GMC Cadillac.

The theme for the 2016 Clark County Fair is “Sew it, Grow it, Show it.” The fair will run from Friday to Friday, July 29. Regular fair admission is $7 and parking is free. Day-long ride wristbands are $16.
