Jackie Borchardt

Jackie Borchardt covers Ohio government, politics and state issues from the Columbus Bureau. She has a masters degree from the Missouri School of Journalism and a bachelor of arts degree in English and Spanish from the University of Rochester.

Borchardt has worked for newspapers and magazines in Illinois, Missouri and New Orleans. Before coming to the Dayton Daily News, she covered education in Wyoming for the state newspaper there. She also covered rodeo, shot clay pigeons with an Olympic medalist and caught two dozen rainbow trout on the Miracle Mile. When she is not working, she enjoys running, cooking and teaching her dog new tricks.
