Threatening message found in middle school bathroom under investigation

The Champaign County Sheriff's Office is working to determine who left a threatening message in a bathroom at Graham Middle School this week.

Deputies and school staff conducted a sweep of the school, on West U.S. 36 in St. Paris, and found nothing that would indicate the existence of a threat, Chief Deputy Eric Holmes said in the incident report.

After confirming no threat existed, all students were allowed to return to class.

The school's administrative office received information about the threatening message just before 1 p.m. Monday, according to the sheriff's office.

The investigation into the incident continues, according to the sheriff's office.
