Hit-skip crash causes parked car to strike Springfield house

A parked car was pushed into a house Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run crash.

Police say the suspect vehicle around 1:15 a.m. hit a parked car. The impact caused the parked car to crash into a home in the 400 block of Montgomery Avenue.

The driver fled and was last seen in the area of Montgomery Avenue and Pleasant Street, according to emergency scanner traffic.

The homeowner was inside at the time of the crash, but was not injured.

The parked vehicle that struck the house sustained moderate damage, while the damage to the home appeared to be minor.

A suspect or vehicle description were not immediately available.
