UPDATE @ 3:52 p.m. (July 15):
The three people injured in a crash in the area of Park Road and Broadway Street have been identified.
Springfield Police said the driver of the vehicle was Michelle Spyker, 55, of Florida. The two passengers have been identified as James Miller, 89, of Springfield and Catherine Kuntz, 56, of Florida.
All three victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
UPDATE @ 7:52 p.m.: The three people extricated from the pickup truck are said to be in stable condition and have been taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, said Lt. Bart Berner, Springfield Fire/Rescue Division.
Berner said his crews arrived to find the truck pushed up against a pole and there was power line down over the vehicle. An Ohio Edison crew was called to shut down the line.
UPDATE @ 7:01 p.m.: Fire/rescue crews are extricating the victims from the horrific crash of a pickup truck in the area of Park Road and Broadway Street in Springfield.
Police and fire crews are working to rescue as many as three people trapped in a pickup truck that has crashed in the area of Park Road and Broadway Street.
The accident was reported about 6:20 p.m. One of our videographers on scene said there are live power lines on the truck and that is hampering the rescue effort.
We’re hearing that traffic in the area of Harshman Boulevard is being rerouted.
