The festival also provides an opportunity for pizzerias to compete against each other in one spot.
Defending champion Kenneth Couch, who is part-owner of Slice of Heaven Pizza in Enon, said the event is good for the community.

“My brother and I grew up here and have lived here all of our lives,” Couch said. “This kind of helps and supports our business. Enon has always supported small businesses.”
He said people from all over the Miami Valley attend the festival. About four or five local pizzerias compete in the festival every year.
“People that aren’t from here, they have a chance to come out and try the pizza,” Couch said. “Hopefully, if they like what they taste it brings them back.”

People who attend Saturday will be able to vote for who they think has the best pizza. Slice of Heaven has won multiple years, Couch said but does face stiff competition from other pizzerias
As a small business, marketing the restaurant can be tough, he said. The festival is an easy way to reach customers directly.
The festival is sponsored by the Village of Enon.
