Endangered Missing Adult Alert canceled after Ohio man found safe


UPDATE @ 6:37 a.m.:

Phillip Placko, 72, has been found safe Wednesday morning, according to the Youngstown Police Department Information Desk.

An Endangered Missing Adult Alert was issued after Placko went missing Tuesday around 9 p.m.

FIRST REPORT:

An Endangered Missing Adult Alert has been issued for a 72-year-old northern Ohio man who has not been seen since he left his residence just before 9 tonight. 

Phillip Placko is a diabetic and has dementia. He is in need of his medications, according to Youngstown police, who issued the alert. 

Placko's residence is on Bancroft Avenue in Youngstown, Mahoning County. 

He is described as white, about 5 foot 9 inches tall and 165 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. 

Placko is believed to be driving a red 2017 Kia Sportage bearing Ohio license plate GGG1856. 

Call or dial 911 if you see Placko or the vehicle. You can also call the Ohio Attorney General Missing Persons Unit, 1-866-693-9171, or 911 to be transferred directly to Youngstown police.
