Egg hunts, activities aplenty for area Easter fun

The Easter Bunny has hidden tons of eggs and helped plan lots of family activities around the area for this weekend. Following is a list of some of places offering Easter fun.

SATURDAY

• Hillside Avenue Church of God, 2021 Hillside Ave., Springfield. Community egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. There will be four age groups and participants can be babies through fifth grade. The Easter Bunny will also attend.

• Quest Community Church, 110 South St., West Liberty off Route 68. This is a free community event with an egg hunt for kids up to fifth grade. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. There will also be a variety of activities including live entertainment, a bounce house, crafts, art, various games and other stations.

• Medway Church, 2550 S. Dayton-Lakeview Road, New Carlisle. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Shows will be presented at 10:20 and 11:30 a.m. and the egg hunt with more than 20,000 eggs will be at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny and prizes will also be part of the event. Everyone is welcome.

• Potter’s House, 3551 S. Limestone St., Springfield. Event begins at noon with an egg hunt and several activities.

• Adkins Funeral Home, 7055 Dayton Springfield Road, Enon. CrossWalk Worship Center is sponsoring its annual community Easter egg hunt. The hunt, which will have more than 3,000 eggs, will begin at 1 p.m., but attendees are encouraged to register early for the hunt and gift card drawing. Children in preschool through sixth grade are welcome to participate.

SUNDAY

• High Street United Methodist Church, 230 E. High St., Springfield. All children are invited for an egg hunt on the church’s front lawn at 10:40 a.m. between two morning services. Everyone is invited, as well as to attend the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services.
