Driver injured in single-vehicle crash on Needmore Road

The driver of a vehicle that crashed in the 3600 block of Needmore Road on Thursday evening may have suffered from a medical condition, Dayton Fire Capt. Chris Kinzeler said.

The male, believed to be in his 30s, was unconscious when fire-rescue personnel reached his vehicle, which traveled off the road, through a fence and brush before coming to rest on its top. Kinzeler said.

He was wearing his seat belt, the captain said. A Riverside medic unit took the man to Miami Valley Hospital.

His condition is not known.

Eastbound Needmore is closed until further notice for the the investigation. Westbound Needmore is open.
