Here's the timeline in the case against McConnell according to the evidence police gathered, Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr.'s office said:

* On Oct. 11, 2018, a suspect later identified as McConnell put a gun to the head of a delivery driver for Domino's on Sandhurst Drive in Dayton. He intercepted the driver as she walked to the address to make her delivery. He made her drive to Englewood, where he robbed and raped her.

* That same night, McConnell confronted a Cassano's delivery driver in an Englewood apartment building. He ordered her to drive to Siebenthaler Avenue in Dayton, where she was able to get out of the vehicle and run. He chased her down and assaulted her. She got away from him  a second time and ran to a house for help.

* Also that same night, McConnell robbed a third pizza delivery driver. Detectives much later were able to identify McConnell as the suspect.

A county grand jury indicted McConnell on Oct. 29, 2018, on multiple counts of kidnapping, rape, aggravated robbery, attempted rape and assault.

On Oct. 18, 2019, McConnell pleaded guilty as charged.

Friday, in addition to the prison sentence, a Common Pleas Court judge designated McConnell a Tier III Sex Offender, which requires him to register with law enforcement as a sex offender every 90 days for life.
