Deer, deputy’s cruiser collide in Clark County

UPDATE @ 10:30 p.m.

A deer ran out in front of a Clark County Sheriff’s cruiser, but there was no significant damage or injury to the deputy or a prisoner.

“It jumped over the deputy’s hood,” Sgt. Denise Jones said of the incident this evening on Ohio 4 near Enon. “No damage other than a blinker light.”

At the time, the deputy had a person in custody riding in back.

“There were no injuries at all,” Jones said.


A Clark County Sheriff’s deputy driving a cruiser tonight reportedly struck a deer.

The crash happened sometime after 8:30 p.m. on Ohio 4 near Enon. According to initial reports, a person in custody also may have been riding in the cruiser.

No injuries have been reported.
