Coronavirus: ‘Hang on, Ohio!’: Dayton Philharmonic releases virtual performance

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommending cloth masks in public places and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine extending the state’s stay-at-home order until May, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra recorded a virtual performance to send a message to the people of Ohio: “Hang on.”

The virtual performance was uploaded to the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance’s Youtube account Friday, and drew over 7,500 views at the time of this article.

Another video, uploaded on March 20, features Dayton Philharmonic Artistic Director and Conductor Neil Gittleman playing Prelude and Fugue in C Major by Johann Sebastian Bach, and sharing a short message of well-wishes.
