Comedy pet theater, other activities in Clark, Champaign this weekend

Pet Theater

The Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is 7 p.m. Friday at the Clark State Performing Arts Center, 300 S. Fountain Ave. in Springfield.

The comedy show will feature juggling, performers and a cast of animals including cats, dogs, parrots, and mice.

Following the show, there will be a meet and greet.

Tickets are $22-$39 and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.

Winter Hike

Residents will learn how to identify Ohio’s trees this winter during a hike, 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at George Rogers Clark Park, 930 S. Tecumseh Road in Springfield.

Tom Hissong, an Ohio naturalist, will lead the hike and teach residents how to identify trees by looking at the bark and buds.

Participants are to meet at Demint Shelter at the bottom of the park.

Farmers Market

The Springfield Farmers Market is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, inside Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co., 102 West North Street.

The market will feature 20 vendors selling various items including baked goods, meats, breads and artisan goods.

Bridal Affair

The Springfield Bridal Affair is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Courtyard Marriott Springfield, 100 S. Fountain Ave.

This event will feature the area’s best wedding professionals and prizes including wedding rings and gift certificates.

If attendees pre-register, they will receive free admission.

Antique Show

The Urbana Antique Show and Flea Market is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Champaign County Fairgrounds, 384 Park Ave. in Urbana.

This event will feature vendors in all four buildings with an array of antiques, crafts, and baked goods.

Admission is $2 per person.
