A Dayton man and longtime civilian employee at Wright Patterson Air Force Base was recently honored as the Air Force’s top fire protection official.
Mike Davis, 65, the fire chief for Air Force Materiel Command at WPFAB, recently won the U.S. Air Force 2012 Civilian Fire Officer of the Year Award.
Davis, who has worked at the base for 31 years, was recognized earlier this month in a resolution from the Ohio House of Representatives.
Davis is now in the running for top fire protection official in the U.S. Department of Defense. A winner has been selected, but not announced yet.
