Quarter-size hail was reported shortly before 2 p.m. in the Enon area, and penny-size hail was reported shortly before 5 p.m. in Mason, the NWS said.
Storms continue to fire this afternoon. The potential for damaging winds will exist with the strongest of these storms through the evening.

By nighttime, storms are expected to move out, for a partly cloudy night with a low around 70 degrees.
Wednesday, temperatures will be a little warmer and mostly sunny, with a high near 93 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will also be a little warmer, with a low of around 72 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
On Thursday, starting around dawn, chances of showers and thunderstorms will rise all day and continue through the night. Temperatures will still be hot with a high near 89 degrees, falling to around 71 degrees overnight.
