The pit bull/Lab mix named Chance was found with a bullet wound to his face in the front yard of a Lake County home May 20.

After being treated for his injuries, and when his owner failed to claim him, Chance was put up for adoption on Sunday at the Lake County Animal Shelter.

Shelter staff posted on Facebook Tuesday morning that Chance was getting a second chance at life after being adopted by two Walt Disney World cast members.

We're so happy that this dog was given a second chance at life, which is why we named him 'Chance,'" Lake County Shelter Director Whitney Boylston said. "Chance is happy and in good spirits; his recovery has been amazing to witness."
