The driver of a vehicle was transported by Careflight after his vehicle reportedly flipped end-over-end, officials said. The vehicle was found by a passerby on state Route 4 near Lower Valley Pike.

The vehicle was traveling northbound when it crossed the median and two southbound lanes of traffic before flipping over and landing beside the road. The driver sustained face and back injuries that officials said were serious, but not life-threatening.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper on the scene said the cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear. The right lane of state Route 4 was closed while officials worked to tow the car, but our photographer on the scene said traffic was not delayed.
