The Dayton area’s newest craft brewery, Alematic Artisan Ales at 6182 Chambersburg Road in Huber Heights, made its debut.
Alematic Artisan Ales is open from 3 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and noon to 11 on Saturdays, according to Greg Cason, the brewery’s co-founder. The brewery and tap room are housed in 4,000 square feet of space in the Huber Center just off Brandt Pike (Ohio 201). The tap room seats 93.
Visitors to the new brewery will have a selection beers brewed in-house, including Brick City Porter, Sideline Reporter (Blonde Ale), OTB (Oatmeal Table Beer), Lesser Known Favorites (Session IPA), Drip (Pale Ale) and New Steez (American IPA).
The brewery has no plans to prepare its own food, and is encouraging customers to bring in food from nearby restaurants, Cason said.
Long-term plans do include canning and bottling, which will be done on-site, and for distributing Alematic Artisan Ales products into the retail marketplace, the brewery co-founder said. The brewery will make small-batch ales, lagers and sours, and eventually will make its own wines and ciders.
It is located between The Heights Cafe and Bright Now Dental.
