Springfield woman reports man exposed himself to her while on sidewalk

A Springfield woman reported to police that she was walking down the street when she was approached by a man who exposed himself to her.

Springfield police began their investigation Sunday evening when they were called to the 1600 block of East Main Street for a public indecency complaint.

“(The victim) advised that shortly before her call, while she was walking on the sidewalk … an unidentified adult … male approached her on the sidewalk,” the report says.

The woman said the suspect asked her a question and then exposed himself to her.

“(The woman) advised the male then got into a vehicle and fled the area eastbound on East Main Street in a white GMC Yukon,” the report says.

The report says no one was arrested immediately following the report.
