A warrant has been issued for Adrianne Allen, 32, on charges of assaulting an officer, obstructing official business and harassment with a bodily substance.

Officers saw Allen stumbling on the corner of East High Street and South Clairmont Avenue at about 7 p.m. Tuesday. She then fell and rested on a fire hydrant, according to a police report. She appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and officers found a half-empty bottle of vodka in her book bag.

After they called medics due to Allen’s condition, she became aggressive and started yelling at police officers, the report said. After she was put onto a stretcher, she allegedly kicked a police officer in the chest.

While in the medic unit, Allen allegedly spit about five times, hitting both a medic and a police officer, the report said. Medics were able to place a spit mask on Allen. At the hospital, Allen was “still highly combative and was screaming profanities.” She was able to remove the spit mask and began spitting again, the report said. As an officer attempted to put the mask back on, Allen bit the officer’s right hand, causing an injury.

The officer was treated and released for the bite.

Allen was admitted into Springfield Regional Medical Center, the report said. The warrant for her arrest was issued on Wednesday, according to court records.
