Springfield police respond to report of large fight

UPDATE: Sources at the scene tell our reporters that no shots appeared to have been fired and no evidence of a gun on scene. No one was injured.

FIRST REPORT: Springfield police are responding to reports of multiple shots fired in the 1000 block of West Pleasant Street about 10 a.m. today.

There’s also a large group of people there, according to scanner traffic. The call was placed by a medic unit that was nearby, according to initial reports.

No injuries have been reported, according to scanner traffic.
