A warrant has been issued for a Springfield man who allegedly pointed a rifle at a woman he knows, according to a police report.
Police were sent to the 500 block of Stanton Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. Saturday on a weapons call, the report said. A woman told police she parked at the curb next to her house when Charles E. Jacobs, 34, pulled up next to her in an SUV. He allegedly had a black rifle in his hands, pointed it at her and said: “I will dump you, (expletive).” The man then drove away on Olive Street.
A few minutes later, the woman looked outside the window of a home and allegedly saw the SUV parked at the corner of Stanton and Olive, the report said.
A warrant for aggravated menacing was requested for Jacobs, it said.
