A Springfield man was arrested Monday night after he was allegedly found to have overdosed on heroin with a 9-year-old child in his home.
Dale Cyphers, 40, of Springfield, was charged with one count of endangering children.
A friend was trying to reach Cyphers but was unsuccessful, according to court records. He allegedly was later found by his friend about 6:40 p.m. Monday without clothes, unresponsive and foaming at the mouth in the bathroom of his home on South Yellow Springs Street.
Once medics arrived, Cyphers was revived with Narcan and transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center.
After being released from the hospital, according to police reports, Cyphers told police he believed he had snorted heroin.
A family member took emergency custody of the child at the scene, court records say.
