A Springfield man is facing multiple charges after he was allegedly found by U.S. Marshals with drugs and a loaded handgun, according to a police report.
Tylee D. Thompson, 19, was facing one count each of drug trafficking, carrying concealed weapons, having weapons while under disability and improperly handling firearms in a motor.
The drugs charges were dismissed in Clark County Municipal Court on Thursday at the request of the Clark County Prosecutor’s Office, records said. Thompson pleaded not guilty to all three weapons charges. Bond was set at $50,000.
Springfield Police Division officers were called to the 1300 block of Delta Road at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday to assist U.S. Marshals who were in the area serving a warrant. Marshals removed three males from a vehicle, including Thompson, who allegedly had loaded handgun in his waistband.
Thompson was also allegedly found with a plastic bag containing seven individually wrapped bags containing a white powder residue inside, a bag containing a green leaf-like substance and more than $2,600 in cash.
