Police: Woman drank 8 beers before crashing into beer distributor

A Pennsylvania woman who admitted to police to drinking several beers before driving crashed into a beer distributor Thursday.

Lynly Broge, 53, of Butler crashed her car into the side of O’Donnell’s Beer Distributor.

Broge’s vehicle crossed the center line, traveled into the parking lot and struck a block wall.

State police said in a criminal complaint that the entire front end of the vehicle went through the building’s wall.

"(She) took out the whole computer system, which pretty much paralyzes you," said the owner, Stephen O’Donnell.

The complaint said Broge admitted to drinking eight beers and taking muscle relaxers and depression medication.

Broge has been arrested for DUI five times in the last 10 years. She was ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, but she apparently removed it sometime before the crash.

Borge was given drug tests at the hospital and charges against her are pending.

Ahead of a busy weekend, O’Donnell is just trying to stay positive.

"We just gotta keep on rolling and make the best out of a busy weekend," he said.
