Two teenagers have been injured after a police pursuit ended in rollover crash in Springfield.
Springfield police dispatchers said an officer attempted to stop a suspected stolen vehicle, when the driver took off from the stop around 4:50 a.m.
Officers continued to pursue the vehicle for a few minutes until the vehicle rolled and crashed into a pole near the intersection of Tibbetts Avenue and Catherine Street.
The owner of the vehicle, Clint Jackson, of Springfield said he woke up in the middle of the night and heard the teens take the car from outside his home.
“This is the end result,” he said. “The stole my vehicle and they totaled it.”
Police said the occupants of the vehicle are two teenage men and reportedly suffered minor injuries.
It’s unknown what potential charges the teens could face.
