Report: Man robbed while walking home from Springfield gas station
“Suspect 1 cuts the pad lock off of the office door and drops it on the ground. He starts to search the office. Suspect 2 then appears in the office and both suspects then begin to remove the items,” the report says. “The suspects also appear to break in the vending machine from inside the office causing damage to the machine and removing the money exchanger bin with money in it.”
The victim told police the suspects tried to cut in the office safe, but were not able to get in, and took all of the business keys before leaving around 7:30 a.m., the report says.
Bond set at $235K for Springfield man accused of choking, raping woman
According to the report, the items taken were a Kobalt toolbox with assorted hand tools, a Cobalt saw, a Dewalt grinder, and a money exchanger bin from the vending machine.
The victim told officers the first suspect was wearing a yellow hooded jacket, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and a dark ball cap; and the second suspect was wearing dark color pants and a dark Alpine jacket.
Springfield police continue their investigation into this burglary.
