A 35-year-old German Twp. man involved in a 2011 drug overdose case that ended in a death was arrested Thursday after he was seen leaving a suspected drug house in Springfield.
Friday morning, Adam Jones is to be in Clark County Municipal Court on charges of drug trafficking and possession, the sheriff’s office said Thursday afternoon.
Sheriff’s detectives were acting on a tip in monitoring possible drug sales from the suspected residence in Springfield when a detective saw him enter and leave that address.
Detectives and German Twp. police stopped his vehicle and found heroin and assorted prescription medications during a search of it, according to the sheriff’s office.
Jones faces an added charge of parole violation because according to court record, he was released from prison in 2014 for his part in a homicide that occurred at his address in the 3400 block of Folk Ream Road.
Jones was charged in March 2011 and sent to prison on charges of involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence and corrupting another with drugs after a teenage boy overdosed in his home.
