The original allegation was reported in April 2017, but charges weren’t filed until March 21.

According to a Clark County Sheriff’s Office affidavit, the victim in the case alleged Akers came into her bedroom three or four times a week during the nighttime hours and sexually assaulted her. He also allegedly took photos and video of the girl while she was undressed. Akers knew the alleged victim, the document says.
The girl’s mother told investigators she had heard about the photos but hadn’t seen them. The woman also told authorities she saw the suspect in bed with the victim under the sheets, according to the affidavit

When police interviewed Akers regarding the allegations, he allegedly didn’t deny making the photos and videos of the victim, but couldn’t explain why he did it.
Clark County Prosecutor Andy Wilson also released the following indictments from the grand jury this week:
Kevin L. Buck Jr., 25, 1028 Pine St.: Failure to comply, tampering with evidence, two counts of obstruction.
Darlene M. Putty, 41, 627 S. Burgess Ave., Columbus: Forgery.
Stacy L. Strodes, 50, 624 W. First St.: Domestic violence, disrupting public service, assault.
