Man sentenced to six months for child sex assault now gets five years
A Springfield man convicted of gross sexual imposition against a 3-year-old and sentenced to six months in jail had his sentence increased to five years. The man admitted to violating the terms of his probation and the judge in the case increased his sentence as a result.
Man accused of having 20 grams of drugs in his home
A Springfield man faces charges of drug possession and distribution after officers executing a search warrant allegedly found 20 grams of drugs and $4,000 in his home. The man was arraigned in the Clark County Municipal Court on Tuesday, but was thrown out of court twice, once for throwing a podium to the ground.
Fake IDs found in Springfield lead to raid, bitcoin seizure
Falsified Ohio ID cards collected by authorities in Springfield led to a multi-year investigation that resulted in a Toledo man being arrested and over $4 million in bitcoin currency being seized. Police in Toledo raided the man’s home and three other locations in the city, finding 30 “wallets” of currency belonging to the man.
Woman accused of overdosing in car with child
A Springfield woman pleaded guilty to child endangerment after police allegedly found her overdosing with a child in the car. According to court records, police found her car halfway parked in a driveway.
