Carriage Trails Senior Villas, Huber Heights, is among the properties federal officials said were not compliant with disabilities rules

Feds say area housing units don’t meet disability rules. Here’s where they are.

A federal lawsuit accuses Ohio-based builder Miller-Valentine of failing to design and construct housing units and other facilities accessible to people with disabilities.

The Department of Justice press release cited Miller-Valentine and associated companies that built 82 multi-family complexes in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.

FIRST REPORT: Feds sue Miller-Valentine

About two-thirds of the complexes are in Ohio and, of those 55, about half are in southwest Ohio.
