Beezow Doo-doo Zopittybop-bop-bop accused of assaulting an officer

A man whose legal name is Beezow Doo-doo Zopittybop-bop-bop was arrested Sunday for allegedly assaulting an Evergreen State College police officer and Thurston County deputy.

The Olympian reported Zopittybop-bop-bop was seen tearing down flyers at the college. An officer chased him and took him down to the ground. During the struggle, he allegedly grabbed the officer's gun and then bit the officer's ring finger several times. He also tried to stab the officer with an ink pen.

Records from the Thurston County Sheriff's Office showed authorities charged Zopittybop-bop-bop with one count each of first-degree assault, third-degree assault, third-degree malicious mischief and malicious harassment.

Prosecutor Mark Thompson said he was unable to verify Zopittybop-bop-bop’s legal name and deferred to his original name, Jeffrey Drew Wilschke. In 2011, he legally changed his name to Beezow Doo-doo Zopittybop-bop-bop. He remained in custody early Wednesday morning.

In 2012, Zopittybop-bop-bop was arrested on marijuana and weapon charges in Wisconsin. He made news again in 2013 for an arrest on drug charges in Iowa.

Zopittybop-bop-bop’s bail was set at $50,000 with an arraignment set for Feb. 16.
