Calm, cold through end of the week

The forecast will be fairly steady through the end of the week, with little to no precipitation expected, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today will be cloudy, with a high near 36 degrees and some like wind. Overnight temperatures will fall to around 28 degrees, and conditions will stay about the same.

Friday throughout the day clouds will begin to break up, but again temperatures will be in the upper 30s, with a high around 36 degrees. Clouds will continue to decrease overnight as temperatures fall to around 25 degrees.

By dawn on Saturday, skies will only be partly cloudy, and will get sunnier as the day goes on. Temperatures will stay around the same level, though, with a high around 37 degrees.

Overnight Saturday, though, the NWS expects the clouds to start to build again as temperatures fall to a low around 23 degrees.
