Troopers believe that alcohol might have been a factor in a crash that killed a man on I-70.
So far troopers have only been able to identify the victim as a male in his 20s. Troopers also say that the man was not wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers have requested the coroner to westbound I-70 near Snider Road after a reported single-vehicle crash.
Crews were dispatched around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday on reports of a rollover crash with a possible unresponsive driver. Troopers on scene requested the Clark County Coroner’s Office shortly after arriving on scene.
The right lane of I-70 is blocked for the investigation according to the Springfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. No other injuries have been reported.
We have a crew heading to the scene and will update this page when more information is available.
